PFOA

Perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA, has contaminated public water supplies and private wells in Bennington County, Vermont, and nearby villages in Rensselaer County, New York. “Studies have shown a correlation — but not a cause-and-effect relationship — between levels of PFOA in the blood and high blood pressure, decreased birth weight, some immune system effects, thyroid disease, kidney cancer and testicular cancer.” More information is available at the Vermont Department of Health website, Hoosick Water Info and the C8 Science Panel website. If you have been affected by PFOA or worked with the material and are willing to be photographed, please contact me.
