travel adirondacks peg and katieThere’s an argument to be made that a camera distances us from direct experience when traveling. Yet new places offer an opportunity to see things in a new way. The trick, for amateur and professional alike, is to do that not just with the foreign, but the familiar as well. The photographs that follow were taken in places near and far — the Adirondacks, Michigan, Oaxaca, Sicily, the Azores and elsewhere — both on assignment and for my own pleasure.
